2.0 - 2.5 Advanced Beginners

Pro 5.0 and above

  • You create offense with varied serves, heavy returns, and purposeful first-ball patterns.

  • Dink exchanges are patient and tactical; you change height/pace to move opponents and open attacks.

  • Third-shot choices (drop, drive, roll) are intentional and consistent, getting you to the NVZ in control.

  • In hand battles you block, reset, or counter on command; overheads and swing volleys finish points.

  • Strategy is dynamic: you stack, poach, and disguise speed-ups; unforced errors are rare as you adapt to partner and opponent strengths.

Level 4.0 to 4.5

  • You’re hitting with depth and control, and your backhand is more reliable under pressure.

  • Serves/returns are purposeful, varying speed and depth to set up the next ball.

  • Dinks are consistent & patient, you’re learning to recognize and attack attackable dinks.

  • You’re mixing drops and drives on the third ball to gain advantage and get to the NVZ.

  • You can block, reset, and volley a wider range of speeds; overheads are more decisive.

  • Strategy sharpens: you move as a team, stack with intent, identify opponent weaknesses, and start poaching selectively with fewer unforced errors.
